What's your lucky gemstone?
Hooray for modern technology! You can find out what your lucky vedic gemstones are online (and for free!), provided you know your date, time, and place of birth. Here are some sites that offer free basic vedic gem recommendations:
AstroSage
AstroSage features a very detailed free vedic birthchart reading. I have not tried their paid services, but the free readings are excellent in scope. Try the free Life Report - it's chock full of stuff :)
Take important note of the Dasha period you are currently in, as many Vedic astrologers will recommend wearing that period's gemstone over your lagna stone; however, do not wear that planet's gemstone if that planet is malefic in your chart! The dasha period is when a particular planet has stronger effects; you don't want to add more injury to yourself by wearing the wrong gem. Also take note of the Sadesati chart, as it's useful to know when things may get tough.
Here is the link to their free gemstones report page.
Astrobix
Another great site with free and paid reports. The free Vedic Gemstone Recommendation report only covers the main stone according to your lagna (ascendant) sign. Astrobix offers a paid gemstone analysis for around $4 USD.
Astrogems offers a free emailed planetary gem analysis and vedic horoscope. Please check your email for this one, as it is not instant.
Astrologicalgem.com also offers a free personal Jyotish gemstone recommendation listed in order of importance based on your chart.
CyberAstro has a free gemstone recommendation page for the main recommended stone based on lagna sign and current dasha stone.
Indastro Vedic Astrology has free charts if you create a free account. Their gem recommendation service is paid. I personally like this site for their general yearly and monthly horoscopes.
Site is down since I last checked:
Find Your Astrological Gem Online features a finicky form - double check and carefully input the time zone and place; make sure that it's the correct time zone by looking at whether the dasha info is correct on whatever page comes up (this means you should get one of the above free charts before looking at this site).
